It was pretty common in the days of physical models in film to have at least two - one for general wide shots, a more detailed one for close ups, are more rugged version for location shoots, etc. Having not seen the Disney movie, they may have also wanted some spares depending on stunts and scheduling, and once you’ve already gone to the work of making a cast, it really doesn’t cost much more to make an additional model.
